I have been a huge Phideaux fan since and we have been friends nearly as long. Infernal has also been one of the most difficult albums to review as it is a double album. Will Never listen to again and deleted under no circumstances should you buy this 4: So, keep peeling back the onion. After 3 listens I finally put together some of those call backs.

So, this is a special double album for me to review.
Not scheduled for release in Europe until 9 SeptemberI managed to get hold of a copy from Progrock Wales via Amazon. Phudeaux a great ensemble piece this would make for a stage musical! This is crossover prog, so there is a strong pop element to most of the tracks.
This double CD set contains 19 indernal, and lasts just under 90 minutes with only one lengthy number, the 14 minute long "From Hydrogen With Love". Copyright Prog Archives, All rights reserved. I would get on a plane to see this performed live.
Reminiscent at times of the gentler side of Pink Floyd, this is an album which lures in the listener and refuses to let them leave.

Perhaps in the nineties, a song like "We Only Have Eyes for You" could have attracted mainstream attention for a short while. I am not sure, but maybe this album is so multifaceted that it takes a while to take it all in. Anyway, I do like the track highlighted here and will listen to more Phideaux. Yet, despite the bleak subject matter, the album never feels oppressively melancholic.
Although the arrangements are often multi-layered, there are plenty of times when it all falls away to leave singers with just a piano or guitar for accompaniment.
Never heard of them or debut album. I would get in the car and road trip to see this album live Released inDoomsday garnered the attention of the progressive rock communities in the US and Europe.
Phideaux, Andy Tillison, and Phideayx Peart are my three favorite lyricists.

If the musicianship were a little more complex they might get away with it. Something fresh and promising.
It isn't as hooking as Doomsday or 7, but ijfernal a very fitting extension and conclusion to the trilogy with plenty great moments all its own. Cheezy organ, sitar effect, and background vocal staccato "bah"s do not work for me.
This is all about music and songs as opposed to exercises in self-indulgence. Electric guitar and bass drum join in as male voice s takes a turn. I feel my ratings are tougher than my peers. Entranced Earth by The Myrrors. As a inffrnal rock fan I expect to find esoteric music the most interesting, so I don't spend many hours with some catchy melody echoing in my brain.

Unsourced material may be challenged and removed. Other sites in the MAC network: It was initially announced to be ready in It's massive and incredibly ambitious, but they've pulled it off with more aplomb than those mommoth double album classics.

Then add this to the equation — How can Infernal be less accessible with all the call backs to the first two albums of the trilogy, Doomsday Afternoon and The Great Leap?
